Private in-person plaster casting workshop at Studio SP, Tower Hill or at your location
This workshop is aimed at architects, designers and artists but is open to all including students. No experience necessary. The day is run in 1 session and can be tailored to your timeframe. Anything between 3-7 hours.
In the workshop we will learn how to make moulds using everyday materials and alginate to cast plaster. I will introduce working with plaster with a special emphasis on using it in architectural model making. I will demonstrate my process and then guide you through it in a hands-on workshop. Expect to make 3+ small cast objects during the session. Participants must collect in advance any objects/ materials/ fabrics they want to try casting.
At the end of the session I will photograph all the objects we have made.
To give an indication of pricing- a 7hr workshop for up to 5 people in Greater London is £500 and this includes all materials.
